Are you looking to improve your flute playing? Sound better in band class? Want to try for first chair? Audition for All-State or Solo and Ensemble? Looking to audition for college music programs? Or are you just playing for your own enjoyment and want to improve your skills on the flute?

Aside from the technical aspects of playing the flute, our private lessons will also include a number of topics including music theory, music history, rhythm practice, performance psychology, and more. Together we'll assess your goals and make a plan for how to reach them. This will include establishing a daily practice routine that includes fundamental exercises for building skill on the flute, exercises in learning music theory and other important building blocks of music, and of course working on music that you enjoy to explore your own musicality and reach your goals.

My students have won the MusicFest Northwest Young Artist Competition, participated and won awards in various MusicFest classes, the San Diego Flute Guild competitions, and play in the Spokane Youth Symphony. I have been featured by the Aspen Music Festival and School as a private teacher on virtual lesson platform Forte. Check out my Forte profile here. I have also been featured as an adjudicator at the Celebrate Music Festival at Holy Names Music Center, as well as adjudicated the preliminary round of Seattle Flute Society's Horsfall Competition.

I would love to help you reach your own personal flute-playing and musical goals.
